Mothership HackerMoms
Mini Maker Faire, Oakland 10/16/11
I made butter, did printmaking, wore a giant pink beehive wig stuck with HackerMom stickers…oh, wait, this is for my kids? They had fun, too. Made me realize that I may be here to stay… Continue reading
What I’m NOT into now: WSJ article on the Superior Chinese Mother
Fucked up: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704111504576059713528698754.html?mod=e2tw. As the estranged victim of one of these emotional abusers, I don’t – to put it mildly – buy it. It surely makes for childhood academic success, but it also makes for uncreative… Continue reading

Or not me exactly, but my inner creative self, the intuitive, curious child-artist who always got shoved off to the side, was told to wait, told it was too expensive, was told no to all her burning desires… Continue reading
What I’m into now: Idealand
My creative group Idealand met last night, trying out our informal, subject-skipping, right-brain, wine-induced format at Cesar in Oakland with great success. Better than the other 3 meetings with suffocating left-brained presentations, timekeeping, etc… Continue reading
